TRIKOMBIN Software Update 4.0

Update to Trikombin version 4.0 (Operating system version 5.0)

• Please allow about 10 minutes of your time for the update.
• Your licenses, user-defined programs and settings will not be overwritten by the update.
• Prerequisite for the update is at least Trikombin Version 3.2.
• The update should only be carried out if the batteries are charged to at least 50%. You can also perform the update while charging the batteries.

1. Copy the file "trikombin_os_update.5_0_0_0.7z" into the root directory of a USB stick. The root directory should not contain any other files that end with ".7z".
2. Insert the USB stick into the appropriate socket on the Trikombin device. It is located below the rotary encoder.
3. Turn off the device.
4. Hold down the "Esc" key and turn the power back on. The device starts into the Maintenance mode. You can release the "Esc" key when the screen shows "Trikombin - maintenance".
5. Press key "1" or click "Update System (Key '1')".
6. After 30 to 60 seconds the message "Ready to update the device. Continue?" is displayed. Confirm it by pressing the "Enter" key or click "Yes".
7. The update is not being conducted.
8. After one or two minutes the message "Update finished successfully! Reboot system?" is displayed. Confirm this by pressing the "Enter" key.

1. Click on "Maintenance".
2. The following version numbers should now be displayed:

• Trikombin program: 4.0.2#3
• Database: 8
• Frequency tables: 8
• Linux: 5
• FPGA: 3.1
